National Coffee Day (NCD) hits the nation on Thursday, Sept. 29.
And in a state with Pennsylvania sports betting, daily debate is the norm, from Eagles/Steelers to Flyers/Penguins to hoagies/cheesesteaks and more, much more.
Now, coffee drinkers in Pennsylvania will head to their favorite store to celebrate National Coffee Day and lay claim to who has the best morning wake-up call.
Who has the best coffee in the Keystone State, you ask?
PennStakes.com developed a matrix system to score what would be the most popular location to get coffee in the state of Pennsylvania.
Methodology: The matrix system was built with the following: Google Trends interest in each brand over 12 months, ScrapeHero.com’s coffee shop location by state and Sprout Social’s social sentiment tool to develop positive/negative sentiment toward the brand.

NCD Offers from the Five
Starbucks: The second-largest coffee provider in the state with 434 locations, Starbucks will not have a NCDay offer. However, Starbucks is committed to sourcing coffee responsibly through Coffee Farmer and Equity (C.A.F.E.) Practices and will continue to work with its partners (employees) and farmers to help to empower farmers and have a positive impact in coffee communities.
Dunkin: The largest of the five with 628 locations statewide, Dunkin’ is celebrating National Coffee Day this year with free coffee. DD Perks® members can get a free medium hot or iced coffee with any purchase at Dunkin’ on Sept. 29.
Wawa: Wawa is the most popular with the least amount of retail locations in the state with 236, Wawa Rewards members can receive a free hot coffee of any size on Sept. 29. Just scan you reward in any store location.
Sheetz: The Mid-Atlantic staple will celebrate NCD by offering customers a free Cold Brew coffee with the purchase of any in-store item.
With 294 locations (fourth largest chain) throughout Pennsylvania, Sheetz offers four signature freshly ground blends from light to dark progression and offers made-to-order cappuccinos, lattes, espressos, mochas and more created on traditional Italian espresso machines.
7-11: The third largest chain in the state with 308 retail outlets, check out 7-Eleven.com for any NCD offer when announced.
