Steelers Playoff Picture

Pittsburgh has decisions they need to make when it comes to the offense, starting with the QB after Justin Fields went to the New York Jets and Russell Wilson to the New York Giants. Pittsburgh did sign QB Mason Rudolph in free agency. Newly signed WR D.K. Metcalf will likely take over as WR1, but Pittsburgh will still have WR George Pickens as another receiver option. The Steelers have added more offensive weapons by signing RB Kenneth Gainwell after Najee Harris went to the Chargers.

The defense is the backbone of the team, being one of the best units across the league with T.J. Watt and Joey Porter Jr. We expect Pittsburgh's defense to only get stronger in the upcoming season after signing CB Darius Slay, DE Isaiahh Loudermilk and CB James Pierre.

Steelers Postseason Outlook and Predictions

Just making the playoffs isn't enough to keep Steeler Nation satisfied. Unfortunately, despite the success in the 2024-25 season, it's difficult to feel confident in the Steelers' prospects of winning the Super Bowl. Depending on the direction Pittsburgh takes with their quarterback, it could make or break their playoff dreams.

Even if the Steelers build a solid offense to match their defense, it is going to be a difficult road for Pittsburgh to reach the playoffs again. In addition to having to play the NFC North teams twice, Pittsburgh also has matchups against the Lions and Bills.
