The 10th calendar month of the year delivered solid returns for casino operators in Pennsylvania, with slight month-over-month gains for retail and iGaming revenue and handle. Pennsylvania online casinos are legal, one of the few states in the nation.
Overall, Pennsylvania casinos took in $483,006,194 in total gaming revenue, which climbed 1.4% from September ($476,278,004) and 7.3% year-over-year from last October’s total ($450,238,963).
As far as retail casinos were concerned, Pennsylvania’s casinos took in $81,458,654 in table games gross revenue, which was up 2.1% from September’s total of $75,227,736.
The top casinos in Pennsylvania by total revenue in October were Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course ($77,185,062), Valley Forge Casino Resort ($64,413,503), Parx Casino ($53,651,092), Rivers Casino Philadelphia ($47,617,867) and Wind Creek Casino in Bethlehem ($43,941,736).
The retail slots handle finished up at $2.54 billion in October, which was down 2.7% from September ($2.611 billion). The slots gross terminal revenue ($192,519,568) was down 3.7% from September’s sum of $199,917,301.
Online Slots Get Slight Bump
On the iGaming side of the aisle, Pennsylvania operators took in an online slots handle of $3.012 billion, which was up 2.1% from September ($2.951 billion). The slots gross revenue finished at $109,835,907 for the month, down 4.3% from September ($114,746,882).
The interactive banking tables handle in October was $2.676 billion, which was down 6.4% from the month before ($2.859 billion). The tables gross revenue figure finished the month at $42,637,039, which was up 0.7% from September’s total of $42,361,221.
The final figure represented a new state record in Pennsylvania, knocking off the old mark set in September, putting a solid final note on the month of October for iGaming operators in the Keystone State.
The top iGaming operators in October by total iGaming revenue were Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course ($62,177,961), Valley Forge Casino Resort ($35,403,243), Rivers Casino Philadelphia ($29,306,107), Harrah’s Casino Philadelphia ($8,027,658) and Parx Casino ($4,672,194).
