It’s Official: BetMGM, Borgata Online Poker Sites Live in PA

After a two-day testing period this week, BetMGM announced Thursday the official launch of BetMGM Poker and Borgata Poker in Pennsylvania.

The test period began on Tuesday morning for both sites: BetMGM iGaming (licensee: Hollywood Casino Grantville) and Borgata iGaming (licensee: Rivers Philadelphia). Pennsylvania is the third state to introduce BetMGM Poker and the second to introduce Borgata Poker, both powered by partypoker U.S. Network.

“Pennsylvanians can now experience our superior poker offering through both BetMGM Poker and Borgata Poker,” Adam Greenblatt, BetMGM chief executive officer, said in a news release. “We’re eager to expand our platform to a larger online audience, and give players in the Keystone State safe, accessible and entertaining poker options.”

Pokerstars PA casino, which is currently running its Pennsylvania Spring Championship of Online Poker (PASCOOP) through May 2, has been the only operational online poker site in Pennsylvania. PokerStars, partnered with the Mount Airy Casino Resort in Pocono, collected $2.4 million in rake and tournament fees in March. That was a slight decrease from February’s $2.5 million.

BetMGM online poker customers will also have access to benefits tied to Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa in Atlantic City as well as other MGM Resorts’ casino-resorts nationwide.

Bonus for New Online Poker Players

New BetMGM Casino PA and Borgata Poker players in Pennsylvania are eligible for a $25 bonus and a 100% deposit match bonus, up to $600. All new players are eligible for one Opening Week Freeroll event (May 9-16) and existing BetMGM and Borgata Casino players who sign up for the poker offering with receive an invitation to the $40,000 Crossover Invitational Freeroll event (May 16).

BetMGM launched its second online casino in Pennsylvania on Feb. 24 with the introduction of the Borgata Casino app. It gained online casino gaming market access to the state through a partnership with Rivers Casino Philadelphia. The Borgata online casino PA followed the BetMGM Casino, which went live on Dec. 4, 2020.
