Fubo Gaming has reached a market access agreement for its upcoming mobile Fubo Sportsbook in Pennsylvania.
The deal to bring PA sports betting and iGaming with Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia and Live! Casino Pittsburgh, pending regulatory approvals, was announced Thursday. Fubo Gaming is a subsidiary of fuboTV Inc. Maryland-based Cordish Cos. is owner and operator of the Live! casinos.
With the addition of Pennsylvania online gambling, Fubo Sportsbook has access to four states, after previously announced agreements in New Jersey and Indiana (through Caesars Entertainment, Inc.) and Iowa (through Casino Queen). Rollout state-by-state in the fourth quarter of this year, according to a news release.
“Entering Pennsylvania, one of the largest sports betting and iGaming markets in the U.S., is a significant accomplishment for our forthcoming Fubo Sportsbook which, in this market, can also include mobile casino games,” Scott Butera, president of Fubo Gaming, said in the release. “We are also excited to be partnering with Cordish, who has been a leader in gaming and sports entertainment for decades.”
Gaming Integrated With Sports on TV
FuboTV intends to integrate gaming with its live sports offering enabling consumers to wager while they watch, the release said. FuboTV currently has a sports offering in Pennsylvania through agreements with regional sports networks NBC Sports Philadelphia (Philadelphia 76ers, Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia Phillies) and AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh Penguins, Pittsburgh Pirates), in addition to local and national network coverage.
“Our agreement with The Cordish Cos. will bring Fubo Sportsbook to consumers in Pennsylvania, expanding our sportsbook’s reach to at least four states,” David Gandler, co-founder and CEO of fuboTV, said in the release. “With our sportsbook, we’re looking forward to delivering a comprehensive sports entertainment experience that combines live streaming and wagering. We expect to launch Fubo Sportsbook in the fourth quarter of this year pending regulatory approvals.”
On Tuesday, Cordish announced more offerings with the addition of live dealer games to PlayLive! in Pennsylvania.
Players of and PA online casinos will have the opportunity to play against table games dealers presenting blackjack and roulette via video stream, providing an interactive live gaming experience.
