Which States are Most Interested in Ideas for Valentine’s Day?

Sunday is the Super Bowl in Las Vegas. Three days later, those wagers you hopefully won will be going to your significant other on Valentine’s Day. It seems like each year that Americans are on the hunt to find the best Valentine’s Day ideas to make a great impression.

PennStakes.com took a quick break from PA online gambling - the calm before the Super Bowl storm – and used Google Trends to discover and rank the top 10 states most interested in ideas for Valentine’s Day. Guess what? Pennsylvania landed in the top 10 for states most frequently searching for “Valentine’s Day Ideas.” 
 
Our search period was between between Dec. 25, 2023 and Jan. 25, 2024, Here are the top states that love love:

Folks in Keystone State Seek Ideas

You would think the state that boasts “The City of Brotherly Love” would be included and it is. Pennsylvania fits into the No. 8 spot with a search interest (compared to other topics) of 25. The Keystone State was behind neighbors New York (33) and New Jersey (27), which were sixth and seventh, respectively.

Illinois topped all states with a strong interest of 100. Massachusetts was second with an 83, Ohio (68) was third and California and Texas tied New York for fourth at 33. 
North Carolina (24) and Florida (22) rounded out the top 10.

From Philadelphia’s Penns Landing and the LOVE sculpture, from the Pocono Mountains to Lambertville and from the Penn State Berkey Creamery to the City of Bridges, there are plenty of romantic and unique places to visit in the state.

Of course, there is also the traditional card, candy, flowers and the unimaginable amount of dinner reservations for two that can be had as well.
