What Are Pennsylvania’s Favorite McDonald’s Menu Items?
With all the money coming from you or going to you on Tax Day in the Keystone State a week from now, on Monday, April 15, you can celebrate or commiserate at your local McDonald's. Feast away as McDonald's Day also will be celebrated April 15 as the world's largest and most popular fast-food chain.
With that being the case, PennStakes.com took a break from monitoring PA sportsbooks to research this question: “Which menu items do Pennsylvanians crave the most?”
Utilizing Google Trends, PennStakes.com analyzed the most popular McDonald’s menu items of Pennsylvania residents by looking at the search results “McDonald’s” over the last 12 months (April 2023 to April 2024). Here are Pennsylvania’s top five to eat:

Maybe at your next trip to McDonald’s, on April 15 or any other day, you are wondering about NFL lines for your favorite state team. Caesars Sportsbook PA on Monday had the Eagles at +700 to win the Super Bowl (tied for sixth with Dallas among the 32 teams) and the Pittsburgh Steelers at +2500 (19th).

Gotta Be the Big Mac
The favorite is the biggest on the menu, the Big Mac, with a search interest score of 9. What's in a Big Mac? Per McDonald’s, it is a sesame seed bun, American cheese, special sauce, 100% beef patty, sliced pickles, shredded lettuce and onions.
You must have something that goes with the top choice and that is French fries, coming in second with a score of 6. Arguably, the best fast-food side order there is in the nation.
A relative newcomer to the McDonald's menu is Chicken McNuggets (founded in 1983). Every kid's favorite comes in at No. 3 with a score of 4.
Rounding out the top five and tied for fourth with a score of 3: Hamburger and a Happy Meal.
A hamburger is the simplest and classic choice. The Happy Meal was introduced to McDonald's customers in January 1979, giving just a little bit more to your child.
A Happy Meal consists of either a hamburger, cheeseburger or small serving of Chicken McNuggets as the main item, a side of either French fries, apple slices, a Go-Gurt tube or even a salad, plus a drink of either milk, juice or a soft drink.
Smiles for everyone to billions of people across the globe!
