After a historic 2024 season, former Penn State tight end Tyler Warren is about to embark upon his NFL career, with the 6’6 winner of the John Mackey Award in 2024 being at or near the top of most NFL mock drafts right now after a redshirt senior campaign where he hauled in 104 catches for 1,233 yards and eight touchdowns. No wonder Penn State College Football Playoff Odds were alive until the very end.
At PennStakes.com, we developed odds projecting what NFL team will draft Penn State’s Tyler Warren. While you're here, bookmark our Eagles Super Bowl Odds page as well.
Team | Odds | Percent Change |
Indianapolis Colts | +200 | 33.3% |
Dallas Cowboys | +250 | 28.6% |
Miami Dolphins | +500 | 16.7% |
Denver Broncos | +7050 | 1.4% |
The Field | +400 | 20.0% |
In the latest NFL.com mock, Warren is picked to go ninth overall to the New Orleans Saints, who need a tight end to replace Juwan Johnson, who is officially off towards free agency, potentially paving the way for the Virginia native to slide into the team’s offense this fall.
There’s also a shot that teams like the Indianapolis Colts (who hold the 14th pick), the Dallas Cowboys (who hold the 12th pick), the Miami Dolphins (who possess the 13th selection) and the Denver Broncos (who pick 20th overall) could land Warren in the first round of the draft, which kicks off from Lambeau Field in Green Bay on April 24.
Our top team to land Warren in the draft, odds wise, is the Colts at +200, with the AFC South stalwart coming off an 8-9 campaign that saw them finish second in their division but on the wrong side of the playoff bubble once again, thanks in large part to an anemic passing game that ranked 25th leaguewide in yards per game through the air, at 197.7.
Throw in the Cowboys (+250), Dolphins (+500) and Broncos (+7050) and you have our Warren draft day odds board covered for now, with all three needing a player that can slot in and provide surehanded support through the air from Day 1 onwards.
Luckily for whichever franchise lands him, Warren is the type of player that’s capable of doing just that, finishing his five years in Happy Valley with 153 catches, 1,839 yards and 25 touchdowns, establishing himself as one of the best pass-catching tight ends in modern college football history along the way.
